Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 9:30-5:30 at Blue Skye Farm in Puyallup WA with invitation to stay for pot-luck dinner and evening skills practice around the campfire…
You’re going to love this day together with Wolf Camp staff, including directors Kim & Chris Chisholm who will start the day with an overview of all the principal earth skills we teach.
In the morning, you’ll get the download from our annual spring workshops, including the printed and digital handouts we share during our Wilderness Survival & Fire by Friction workshop, Wild Edible Foods Foraging & Herbal Medicine Making workshop, Wildlife Awareness, Bird Voices, Tracks & Trails workshop, and Backcountry Safety, Natural Navigation, Map & Compass workshop.
Kim & Chris will round-out the morning session with a guided nature and survival walkabout around Blue Skye Farm, demonstrating how you can find the most available materials for securing shelter, fire, water, foods, and medicines applicable to urban and wilderness emergencies in a context of situational awareness and risk management including wildlife tracking and safety.
Kim, Chris and the other Wolf Camp staff in attendance will split the group up into stations in the afternoon to provide you personalized practice on the skills you most want to learn or practice. Stations options will include:
- Fire in the Rain
- Bow Drill Fire-by-Friction
- Emergency Survival Shelter
- Wild Edible Foods Foraging & Processing
- Herbal Medicine Making
- Lostproofing, Natural Navigation, Map & Compass
- Wildlife Tracking & Safety, Bird Voices & Identification
We will transition into a pot-luck picnic dinner at 5:30 and staff will be hanging out until 8:30 practicing skills and enjoying songs/stories around the campfire, so we invite you to stay as long as you can today as well. We always have a “working lunch” during workshops so bring food you can easily eat throughout the day, and bring something extra for the picnic table during the dinner hour.

Thanks! We’ll email you with confirmation and prep info within a day after receiving your deposit. Or email us to be put on our our list for the future. We always keep your information absolutely private, and will never share it. Have you ever attended one of our programs before? Please review us on our Better Business Bureau, Facebook, Yelp & Google pages.
Can we get a refund if we cancel? Our refund policy below only offers credit for future programs if you cancel: payments are not refundable unless we don’t accept your application. If you cancel for any reason, you may receive a full credit good through the following calendar year on appropriate and available programs listed on our schedule, although an additional deposit is needed to secure your spot in the future program. If a program you sign up for is canceled and not rescheduled at a time you can attend, you may receive a full refund except in cases of natural (weather, geologic, wildfire, etc) disasters, epidemics, grid failures, government shutdowns, conflicts or curfews, or other unforeseen emergencies making it unsafe for staff and/or attendees to reach or use program locations, in which case all payments made will be held by us without expiration date for your future use in appropriate/available programs of your choice. Reasons include the expenditure of funds (property rentals, advertising, materials, admin staff time, etc.) long before programs take place, i.e. deposits make it feasible for Wolf Camp to schedule programs in the first place, but our mutually understood agreement is that Wolf Camp will run the program at the safest available time in the future. Finally, no refund, nor credit, is given if a participant is asked to leave a program for inappropriateness as determined by our kids, youth and adult agreements for participation.
