Wolf Camp proprietors Kim & Chris Chisholm are ready to downsize after 25+ years of running summer camps and academic year programs. They are now offering a chance for new owners to take over the Wolf Camp name and King County area programs. Chris & Kim will continue operating in Pierce County under the name Blue Skye Farm & School of Natural Science, offering a small number of kids day camps and adult workshops, as well as continuing their farm internship and natural science related programs.
Sale Description
Chris & Kim are offering to sell Wolf Camp outright, or over time in exchange for a pension-like compensation so that new owners won’t need to go into debt to buy the business. Chris & Kim are also eager to train and mentor new owners over a transitional year, and stay involved as requested into the future to mentor staff, or teach short programs as needed.
The sale would include the Wolf Camp name, website, extensive policy/training manual, email list kept tight at 5,000 subscribers/program participants with over half in the King County area, a meetup event site with approximately 3,000 subscribers in the North Sound and free access to another meetup site with another 7,000 subscribers mostly in King County, our Facebook page with all-organic followers and significant growth potential since we’ve never advertised it, and our YouTube channel with all-organic subscribers at a level ready to start advertising, plus other small social media. The sale will also include all necessary equipment, supplies, professional connections and good will to run and fill programs at Lake Sammamish and other King County venues. Programs include successful kids day camps, overnight youth camps, family camps and classes, custom programs for schools/groups/organizations as well as the hallmark Earth Skills Teaching Apprenticeship for staff training and development.
As part of the Wolf Camp sale, Chris & Kim will no longer operate in King County, other than when organizations personally hire them for short-term programs. New owners of Wolf Camp will be free to expand business in any manner as desired, other than offering “summer day camps” in Pierce County. Content on the Wolf Camp website will be parsed to indicate which pages, photos, blog posts and videos the new buyer wants to keep on the Wolf Camp site, and which should move to Chris & Kim’s new Blue Skye Farm & School of Natural Science site. Buyer can continue using the full Wolf Camp & School of Natural Science name, or use any other subtitle, or shorten it to Wolf Camp. Buyer can also continue to use all the camp theme and workshop program titles, or of course change anything they like with no restrictions.
