Outdoor Family Camps & Classes

We have a lot of great ways for families to learn together. We ran our first summer day camp in 1997, and we now offer a host of camps for kids, youth, adults and family. Experience our fun, skill-building programs guided by highly trained staff within our hallmark 6-1 average, 8-1 maximum student-teacher ratio that’s so critical for safe and profound outdoor experiences.


Summer Camp & Classes for All Ages

July 2-6, 2018 in Olympia at Millersylvania State Park – Group Camp Site, 12245 Tilley Rd SW, Olympia, WA 98512 for all ages with complimentary swimming (parent supervision required) every day after lunch. Click here for arrival/departure directions. Each class is $25 per class per person ages 6 and up.

starting_pointMake the above classes a very affordable and accessible family camp week at just $275 per family member, for the entire week of classes plus after-lunch activities and complimentary Wednesday, July 4th activities as well. Your family will be on your own for all activities outside of our 9:30-3:30 day camp hours of operation, unless you choose to add meals with us. The programs are located at beautiful parks where you can swim, hike and play for hours, near metro areas where you can attend urban activities, shop and get around easily.

Add Tent Camping with our staff at our Group Camp adjacent to the park’s entry kiosk for an additional $100 per couple or family no matter the number of nights you spend with us. If you have an RV or trailer, you will need to reserve a different camp site since ours is a walk-in site, but normal cars/trucks can park with a Discover Pass. The park has many RV Sites, tent sites, and a vacation house for rent, or book or a Hotel near Olympia (15 mins)

Add Meals with our staff need to be reserved at least a week in advance and cost an additional $10/adult per meal, or $5/child per meal available Monday Breakfast through Friday Lunch and must be reserved at least a week in advance so we can shop appropriately.

lakesammamishhansjensengroupshelterwolfcampJuly 23-27, 2018 at Lake Sammamish Hans Jensen Group Camp in Issaquah for all ages with complimentary archery (parent supervision required) every day after lunch. No option to register for classes separately as we are looking for consistent participation throughout the week. Cost for for all activities from 9:30-3:30 day camp hours is $295 per person, unless you choose to add camping meals with us, same as described above. Toilets and showers are primitive. Or find your own accommodations such as the near-by Holiday Inn at Issaquah. The programs are located at a beautiful park where you can swim, hike and play for hours, near metro areas where you can attend urban activities, shop and get around easily.

Check/Mail Registration Option: Send with a check payable to Wolf Camp, 1026 14th St. SW, Puyallup WA 98371 along with a separate Microsoft Word or PDF Registration Form completed for each participant.

Refund Policy: Standard deposits ($75 for day programs, $175 for overnight programs) are not refundable unless we don’t accept your application. If you cancel for any reason, you may receive a full credit good through the following calendar year on appropriate and available programs listed on our schedule, although an additional deposit may be required to secure your spot in the future program. If a program you sign up for is canceled and not rescheduled at a time you can attend, you may receive a full refund except in case of natural (weather, geologic, etc) disasters, government shutdowns, conflicts or curfews, or other unforeseen emergencies making it impossible for staff and/or attendees to reach or use program locations, in which case all payments made will be held by us without expiration date for your future use in appropriate/available programs of your choice. No refund, nor credit, is given if a participant is asked to leave a program for inappropriateness as determined by our kids, youth and adult agreements for participation.

curranlodgeAdd Camping with our staff all week at the privately-reserved Camp Curran for an additional $50 per person. You’ll need your own transportation to-and-from Clark’s Creek, and showers are primitive. Or find your own accommodations such as a full-hook-up RV Site at the Puyallup Fairgrounds (5 mins) or camping at Dash Point State Park (30 mins) or book the Tayberry Cottage B&B (5 mins) or a Hotel in Puyallup (5 mins).

Add Meals with our staff need to be reserved at least a week in advance and cost an additional $50 for 4 dinners Mon-Thu 6pm at Camp Curran, $50 for 5 noon lunches Mon-Fri at Clark’s Creek Park, and $50 for 5 breakfasts Mon-Fri 8am at Camp Curran. Children age 6 and under may attend meals free with parent. You can choose breakfasts and/or lunches and/or dinners but it’s too complicated when people request to pay for individual days. Even if you make it to only 1, 2, 3, or 4 of your meal plan, full payment is required due to prior shopping/prepping/cooking involved.

The Wolf Gathering – Skillshare Rendezvous

Sept 9-10, 2017 at Camp Curran near Tacoma WA. The gathering is a our annual conservation forum and skillshare rendezvous. Join us to attend or give presentations, browse crafts or sell wares, share and gain knowledge and skills at workshops, meet staff experts or network with other birders and naturalists, herbalists and ethnobotanists, wildlife trackers and nature photographers, subsistence hunters and fishermen, traditional craftmakers and artisans, organic farmers and sustainable builders.
